“To Teach is to Help the Child Becomes More Human” – Essay

Our scientific anatomy and historical backgrounds aren’t the only things that make us human. What makes us fully human are our moral beliefs. Teaching children entails instilling in them the values of right and wrong, kindness and love. Without our spiritual compasses, our intellectual skills are nothing. A person’s character is determined by how he or she treats other people, not by what they know about a book or a concept.

We all know that what we learn at home is the basis of what we learn in school; before we enroll in any school, our parents instill in us our beliefs and traditions, and it is here that we apply what we learn at school. However, some children are subjected to bullying and harmful influences, so a teacher’s job is to help the child become more human. We should teach them not to repeat their experiences and instead encourage them to be good citizens. A learning institution, in my opinion, is the only place where children can gradually form their moral concepts.

They will be evaluated not only on their academic achievements but also on their humane attitude after they have completed their education. We already have plenty of brilliant minds; now is the time to start cultivating professionals who will serve as conduits for compassion and kindness, with love as their language, humanity at work, and love as their enduring legacy in the world.
