“The Best Investment You Can Make Is In Yourself” but until when?

It’s vacation time!

I’m really looking forward to today because I won’t have to worry about school or the requirements. I’m ready to start learning new things and continue doing what I’m learning currently – my hobbies! For example, whenever I am tired of reading the modules, I like watching videos about gardening, stitching, and trading.

These are the things I’ve learned during the last few years since the pandemic began. I tried to develop several skills and I’m still learning them.

I feel that in my twenties, I should learn new skills and not waste my time going around social media and comparing myself to others. I aspired to be the best version of myself, and I truly love myself.

Even though I’m learning, there have been times when I’ve wanted to give up since I can’t master just one skill. But hey! I’m still young, and it’s alright to be upset since that’s how life goes. I wanted to tell my future self that she didn’t have to worry since I’d taken care of everything. My present self is only beginning to absorb these abilities and knowledge, so my future self will be grateful that I tried these things.

Me: “I love learning new things!”
Me when it’s time to learn anything new I’m not instantly good at:

I have the perception that I am an empty glass that has to be filled with knowledge. I am constantly open to new information, but I was wondering when I should stop learning new things.

Is this why I can’t master crocheting? gardening? drawing? or photography? because I didn’t make a deadline when I should stop.

I also learned that we are lifelong learners, I do not believe that investing in yourself has an expiration date. Even if we gained specific abilities as children, we continue to learn new things as we get older from our experiences and from others.
